THEATRE ARTS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION



For New Students Only

Westmont Theatre Arts is pleased to offer performing arts scholarships to highly talented and motivated prospective students interested in being involved in our program.

Required Documents: 
  • Complete this form and send to our office by the scholarship deadline, along with your resume and any letters of recommendation from former teachers and directors.
  • Set up a live audition or interview with us during your campus visit to Westmont. Please let the admissions office know that you are interested in setting up a scholarship audition or interview during your Westmont campus visit.
Though live auditions are preferred, an online link to your audition materials is acceptable (e.g. YouTube or Vimeo link). For performers, your total audition time should not exceed five minutes. Please do NOT send full-length shows or clips of productions you have been part of. Only links that follow the above requirements will be viewed.

Your performance audition materials should be comprised of the following: 
  • Two monologues (one classical/one contemporary)
  • 16 bars of a song (optional: if you sing)

Your design interview materials should be comprised of the following:

  • Visual portfolio with samples of your work in progress
  • Production resume that demonstrates your design and technology experience

SCHOLARSHIP PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
By pressing submit, I am aware that students awarded scholarships are required to participate in the design and technology of the production season each semester.
  • $500 - $1249: Equivalent to 1 unit of production participation on a show or 2 hours per week in one of our shops or administrative roles (26 hours per semester). Students will earn 1 unit of TA060/160
  • $1250+: Equivalent to 2 units of production participation on a show or 4 hours per week in one of our shops or administrative roles (52 hours per semester). Students will earn 2 units of TA060/160
