  • Digital Portfolio Documentation: Your portfolio submission should be representative of your best artwork. Submit 10 images of your work. If you specialize in a certain area, focus on that strength. Quality of work is valued over breadth of media. The faculty will be looking for skill in the use of the medium and for an ability to express original ideas effectively.

  • Dimensions: 2000px. Max width/height on the longest side. 
  • Be sure to provide the best presentation of your work as possible.

ART HISTORY SCHOLARSHIP
Required documents:

 You should have all of this ready before you begin to complete this scholarship application.

  • Cover letter - your cover letter should be no more than one page and include:
    For incoming art history majors...
    - why you are interested in art history and the interests that bring you to the major
    For continuing art history majors...
    - important things about yourself and your studies that we may not already know
    - a summary of the art history classes and related classes and activities you've undertaken thus far, and the questions, issues or artists that have caught your attention, and why.
  • Two writing samples - submit examples of writing on the visual arts. These may come from coursework, or from extra-curriculuar involvement (e.g. Horizon reviews, letters to the editor, etc.)
